As representatives of the UniNEtZ project, we hereby express our respect and gratitude for the statements published by uniko on 23.3.2023 and 05.04.2023 "uniko on scientific skepticism: "No knowledge gap, but action deficit"" and "Austrian universities show solidarity with climate movement". We perceive this clear positioning as a consistent and logical continuation and implementation of the self-perception of the social responsibility of universities expressed in the uniko Manifesto for Sustainability. We are pleased that these declarations represent an important step towards a sharpened positioning of universities with regard to fulfilling their social responsibility.
